Junior FP&A Controller

Your mission

A day in the life of  Junior FP&A Controller (m/f/d) with ProGlove will be mostly about being a strong link between Finance and other departments, helping us achieve our targets. You will provide the company with decision-making support by sharing financial insights and given different hypotheses and scenarios.

We’re dedicated to finding someone who is passionate about data and curious to see what lies beneath it. Ideally, you are interested in solving and communicating complex problems clearly and you aspire to have ownership of data from end to end. 

This is what you will do:
  • Monthly reporting: prepare and maintain the monthly management reporting, from data checks to final pack.
  • KPI reporting: produce recurring KPI reports and flag trends and outliers, with a first view on root causes.
  • Cost drivers and cost centers: track cost-center performance against budget, follow up with budget holders and analyse cost drivers.
  • Variance and Key Reviews: prepare analyses, charts and backup for variance and Key Review meetings.
  • Dashboards and visualizations: build and enhance dashboards with the Data Engineers that support storytelling and self-service.
  • Data Catalog: maintain KPI and metric definitions, owners and business logic as the single source of truth.
  • Documentation: document reporting processes, models and definitions so they are repeatable and auditable.
  • Planning support: support budgeting, forecasting and business-case models with inputs, checks and scenarios.
  • Projects: contribute to improvement projects and own smaller workstreams.

Your profile

  • 1+ year of experience in controlling, FP&A, audit or analytics (internships and working-student roles count).
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Degree in finance, business, economics, business informatics or similar.
  • Strong Excel skills and an eye for accuracy.
  • First experience with Power BI or a strong wish to learn one.
  • Basic understanding of P&L, cost centers and budget vs. actual analysis.
  • Curiosity about the why behind the numbers and the ability to explain it simply.
  • Structured way of working; you like documenting and improving processes.
Nice to have: SQL, experience with SAP, data visualization courses or projects.

What success looks like

After 12 months, you deliver the monthly reporting on time each month with minimal review comments. KPI and cost-center reports explain the main drivers, and budget holders use them. Dashboards you built are used by management without extra Excel exports. The Data Catalog is complete for all core KPIs, and every recurring process you run is documented so someone else could take it over.

You will join the FP&A team at ProGlove: a small team that combines financial controlling with data engineering, so the numbers we report are the numbers the business runs on. We own our finance systems, data pipelines and BI reporting, and turning that data into planning, insight and decisions. 
We work as one team with two focuses. Data Engineering builds and runs the single source of truth; Controlling owns the financial logic on top of it: budgets, forecasts, business cases, KPI definitions and the story behind the numbers. Together we serve management, budget holders, the Sales team and our investors.
